It was a really great evening last night in Leeds! We were at Chapeltown Community Church because Dick and Di Sims, who were on the GAT Burundi team, are part of that church. After an beautiful meal of colourful and tasty food the hall became filled with song as the mainly Afro-Caribbean congregation led us in strong worship to our great God! We then told them what had happened in Burundi, showed the video and then had some Q&A. We thanked them for their prayers and practical support and then ended the evening in prayer. We met some fantastic people who are working and praying hard for the transformation of their community, and it was a privilege to be with them in Leeds last night.
Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus Christ is building his church (Matthew 16:18)? In Burundi. In York. And in Chapeltown, Leeds.
