If you want Advent inspiration today, I have one piece of advice for you. One word to guide you. One thought to suggest to you. Go to church.
Go and spend some time today with followers of Jesus in worship. And listen for God. Listen for him as the bible is read, in the preaching, in the songs and prayers. Listen expectantly for him today. In the gathering of his church.
That’s my blog-message today. Go to church.
Questions
Will you be joining God’s people in worship today? Are you expectant that God will speak today?
Good advice – I took it – before I had read it! It’s in the still moments, the inbetween times, that God is to be glimpsed. And He’s worth glimpsing! Can I re-blog?
Of course! And I hope you found some inspiration in church. God bless.
I did. A reminder that this period of Advent is an exercise in road-building – preparing the way for the Lord. A timely diversion from the Christmas motorway!
Good advice Matthew. Will see you at the carol concert next Sunday. Not always easy to get to St Mikes.
