15th December: God used multiple ways of communication at the first Advent in order to share the good news of Jesus. We’re called to do the same today. To communicate clearly, openly and appropriately. We’re to pass on what’s been shared with us. Not everyone will want to receive it, but many will. It’s all about being an Advent Messenger.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20. Today Matthew encourages us to be messengers about the Good News. One way is to be a ‘knock’ at the door of someone’s heart. We can even do this inadvertently, a gesture, a kind act witnessed. Sometimes we can go out deliberately to be a light. Which ever way Jesus can use us to be His knock on someone’s heart. Lord, I pray that every day I may be your knock on someone’s heart to let you in to someone’s life.
As Christians we are all called to be messengers.
By being the person that God has moulded and shaped us into, and using the gifts that He has given us, we can change peoples lives
By asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment , we can change peoples lives
By being bold and courageous and at the same time gentle in our approach to people we can change peoples
By sharing our own testimonies, we can change peoples lives.
Without Gods help we CAN’T change peoples lives.
