Joy is more than, and I don’t mean the insurance company MORE TH>N. It’s more than feeling secure, more than knowing that we are loved, more than knowing that deep down we know all is well. No accident that Paul puts it first after love in listing the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22 Joy is rooted in our intimate relationship with God. We find it in the stillness of true silent prayer. It is sensing that we are being ‘delighted in’ in the very moment, and in return we ‘delight in’ Him, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
